About the Petoskey Regional Audubon Society:
Purpose: The Petoskey Regional Audubon Society (PRAS) is dedicated to creating a greater awareness, appreciation, and understanding of the inter-relatedness of all Michigan's wild places and wildlife and the need for stewardship, with emphasis on our local region. PRAS is also dedicated to fostering an active community of birders by sharing knowledge and experience whenever possible.
Activities: PRAS meets monthly from September to June. PRAS also offers free field trips throughout the year. See 2005 summary for a list of programs and field trips offered in 2005. When and where do we meet? PRAS’s monthly indoor meetings are held from September through May at 7 p.m. in the main dining room of Independence Village in Petoskey. For map and directions, click here. NOTE: the June meeting is a potluck/picnic held at a Petoskey public park.
How to join: Dues for 2006 are $15 for individuals, and $20 for families (half price after July 1). Checks (payable to PRAS) should be mailed to PO Box 945, Petoskey MI 49770. Include phone number and email (if any). For more info, contact Treasurer Cynthia Donahey at hedgehog@freeway.net.
PRAS Newsletter: The PRAS newsletter, "Wildlife Calls", is published monthly for all members. To view, click on newsletters.
