Elmer Johnston Preserve Bird Walk – Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 9AM

Directions: Located east of Good Hart north of Robinson Road. Meet at parking area (marked by a Little Traverse Conservancy sign) on Church Road. Optional lunch to follow at Moose Jaw Junction.

This 220-acre preserve includes a mix of meadowlands and rolling hardwood forest with 2 miles of trails and beautiful views of Lake Michigan from the top of the hill. This preserve is also notable for spring wildflowers. We’ll make every effort to cover the loop within 2 hours. Dutch-treat lunch to follow at Moose Jaw Junction. NOTE: If you can’t make it to the walk; but wish to eat, feel free to join us at Moose Jaw Junction.

Free and open to the public. As always, no dogs and no smoking on any PRAS field trip. Children welcome with adult supervision. Bring binoculars and a field guide if you have them, and dress for the weather.
