Petoskey Audubon April 14 Program – A Birders Journey through the Scottish Highlands and Western Islands

Petoskey Regional Audubon Society (PRAS) is hosting a free in-person program on Tuesday, April 14 featuring local birder Darrell Lawson, sharing his birding adventures and travels From Loch Ness to Scotland’s Whisky Island and from the Mull of Kintyre to the Isle of Skye and the Culloden Battlefield. Join Lawson on a journey through Scotland while visiting birding hotspots, touring famous distilleries and castles, and summiting one of Scotland’s highest peaks. This photo-travelogue will explore Scotland’s avian life, history – both natural and human, and some incredibly scenic landscapes.

Lawson is the current vice-president and former president of PRAS. Since beginning birding in 2012, he has led birding field trips extensively around the state of Michigan for PRAS, Michigan Audubon, and the Midwest Birding Symposium. He co-chaired the Sunset Coast Birding Trail Development team and is also a former member of the Michigan Bird Records Committee.

The program begins at 7pm and it is free and open to the public. It takes place in the conference room at Courtyard by Marriott Petoskey at Victories Square, 1866 Mkwa Place, Petoskey. Learn more at www.petoskeyaudubon.org
