16 May Field Trip Report – Spring Lake Park May 16, 2024

There were only 6 of us this morning and it was a fine morning. We moved fairly slowly. Lots to hear and see. One of the Baltimore Oriole pairs is building a nest overhanging the beginning of the board walk. It seems to have a good deal of fishing line woven into it. She was hard at work adjusting bits and pieces. The old Kingbird nest seems to be being used (near the boardwalk) as well as the one just after you cross Hiawatha. Warblers were more helpful than usual with showing themselves.
